Summer Beavers Bend Cabins

Summer Beavers Bend Cabins

The great Summer Beavers Bend cabins are in high demand.

We have a few openings at the end of June and Mountain Vista is almost packed in July.

There are usually plenty of star sightings in Beavers Bend when the weather gets warm and Memorial Weekend was no exception. New Orleans Saints running back Adrian Peterson was seen at many locations near Broken Bow Lake.

Picture of Adrian Peterson dining in Beavers Bend

Peterson is pictured above with my lifetime pal, Skip Copeland. Skip owns the new Rolling Fork Takery restaurant in Hochatown. He and wife, Shellye, will make a dramatic impact on the dining scene in Beavers Bend.

Rolling Fork is just north of Girls Gone Wine to the right. It will be open in the next few weeks. Trust me, you’ve never seen anything like this concept in Beavers Bend. Great organic food, live music and great people.

Summer Beavers Bend Cabins

Our views and upscale amenities continue to make Mountain Vista a very popular cabin choice in Beavers Bend. We’ve never felt the need to gouge guests with cleaning, insurance and incidental fees. Others charge top-dollar for an armful of firewood…ours is free.

Many cabin companies will bill you $40 or more for generic s’mores. We offer high-end packaged kits at no charge

A plethora of property managers now own many cabins in Beavers Bend. Mountain Vista remains different. It’s truly our vacation home.

You deal with us, the owners, when reserving our property. We’re not managing 50-80 other cabins.

Thousands read our blog each month and it’s very unpopular with some…those charging you needless cabin add-on fees.

Contact us if we can help market your luxury Broken Bow cabin. Our three-decades of media and marketing experience can help accentuate your property. Are you receiving proper professional video and social media exposure?

Summer Beavers Bend cabins are only a click away at BeaversBendVacations.com.

Top 10 Beavers Bend Cabin Rental Tips

Top 10 Beavers Bend Cabin Rental Tips

Jerry and Sherri Isbell, BeaversBendVacations.com “Mountain Vista”

Choosing a luxury cabin in Broken Bow is often a daunting task for first-time visitors. There are 1,000 cabins available and scores of websites to peruse. How do you choose the right one? Here are my Top 10 Beavers Bend cabin rental tips.

1. Never pay add-on charges for insurance, firewood, cleaning or resort fees. I’ve written about this extensively through the years.

2. Research the cabin owners or property management group. How long have they been in business? If you can’t find scores of positive, verifiable media about them, look elsewhere.

3. Get a secluded cabin. This is one of the top complaints from guests who travel to Beavers Bend. Sometimes it’s difficult to be certain until arrival. Tricky picture angles of cabins can make it look scenic and isolated. Once you arrive at the cabin…boom! You see another cabin nearby and 15 people are doing Karaoke to Bon Jovi in the parking lot! We have acres of seclusion in the upscale Southern Hills Addition.

4. Don’t settle for unprofessionalism. If your emails and calls aren’t returned promptly, kick them to the curb.

5. Don’t allow yourself to be nickel and dimed. Read the terms and conditions on each website. It’s usually a plethora of fees and “gotcha’s”.

6. Check references. We have many public figures that have endorsed us.

7. Look for amenities. Many cabin owners and property management companies are too tight to provide free Starbucks, S’mores Kits, luxury linens and upscale hand soaps. Starbucks is one of many things “on the house” at Mountain Vista.

8. Does the cabin have many repeat guests? Ours are easy to find here on the blog.

9. Is your cabin owner or management company providing state-of-the-art-technology to enhance your experience in Broken Bow? We created Beavers Bend’s first app with Mobile Roadie, a global leader in Los Angeles. Our app wasn’t made in someone’s garage!

10. Trust your gut and do a little homework. If you’re renting from a company with 30-50 cabins on a website, how much attention to detail can they truly provide before your arrival?

There are many great cabins in Beavers Bend. Choose the right fit for you. Sherri and I have fit in well with guests through the years and enjoy having many repeat visitors.

Take my top 10 Beavers Bend cabin rental tips to heart…your getaway to the Kiamichi Mountains will be much more worry-free by simply doing a little homework.

Get to the Broken Bow Lake area soon. Two-million tourists flock here for a reason…It’s gorgeous!

Beavers Bend Cabin Management

Beavers Bend Cabin Management

Are you searching for a Beavers Bend cabin management company to market and oversee your luxury property in Broken Bow?

The cabin management game in Beavers Bend State Park is booming for some companies, and often at the expense of luxury cabin owners.  Fees, fees and more fees…if you’re a cabin owner near Broken Bow Lake, you know what I mean. Don’t get eaten by buzzards!

Some cabin management companies are charging owners 40% of the nightly rate, plus additional fees for advertising. It’s ridiculous. Many Beavers Bend cabin management companies are even gouging owners with charges for placing photos on their website.

Here’s a few things you should consider before hiring a Beavers Bend cabin management company.

  1. Make sure your cabin management leader conducts site visits and doesn’t just leave this to the cleaning crews. Many of these companies manage 30-50 cabins. Some cabin company leaders go a year or more without stepping into a cabin they manage.
  2. Verify that your cabin management leader is not involved in so many other businesses that the promotion of your cabin suffers.
  3. Evaluate the marketing of your cabin management leader. Is their website outdated and plastered with low-res, cheap looking pictures? Do they use professionally produced video or are they featuring low-budget media?
  4. What media technologies are they utilizing that is unique to the Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake market?
  5. Does your Beavers Bend cabin management company communicate with you or simply send out a “fluffy email” every now and then?
  6. Do they provide “extra” amenities for your guests?
  7. Do you really want to be one of 50 cabins on a website? How can they sell yours along with all the others?

Owning a luxury cabin near Broken Bow Lake can be rewarding and profitable. It’s also very expensive if done correctly. Ideally, you should have a media team that can market the unique qualities of your property. With decades of media and marketing experience, we can help.

Tour our website and app. Our cutting-edge technologies, professionally produced videos and Beavers Bend’s only mobile app enables us to reach thousands each month.

Contact us at 405-535-8055 if we can take your luxury Broken Bow Lake cabin marketing to an entirely new level.

Top Four Mistakes Beavers Bend Cabin Visitors Make

Top Four Mistakes Beavers Bend Cabin Visitors Make

Are you searching for a luxury cabin near Broken Bow Lake and finding yourself unsure about how to choose a premiere upscale getaway in Beavers Bend State Park?  Well, you are not alone. Here are the top four mistakes Beavers Bend cabin visitors make. Make sure you avoid making these critical errors before reserving a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

1. Trusting Without Verifying: The old phrase from President Ronald Reagan rings true when choosing a luxury cabin in Beavers Bend State Park. We have previously told you about other cabin management companies unethically using our 20-mile view photos on their websites. Now, a luxury cabin company in Broken Bow is using “Mountain Vista” in their online marketing in hopes of tricking you into believing their cabin is close to us or features the same panoramic views we have been promoting for years. They want to be found in the same Google stream as us and have resorted to black hat tactics.  We find a little humor in this, but yet it is despicable. We have marketed the phrase “Mountain Vista” for years. Our vacation home, Mountain Vista, has been featured in numerous media markets and was showcased with a full-page spread in the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration book, “Treasures of Oklahoma.”

We have been lauded as “A Place To Stay” in Oklahoma by TravelOK and have hosted scores of happy guests over the years…by delivering on our promises and marketing ethically.  If you see “Mountain Vista” or our popular deck views on any private cabin management website but this one, it is false advertising. They are “Piggybacking.”

Our friends at TravelOK and the McCurtain County Tourism Association have full authority to promote us and do a tremendous job. Trust your cabin management company only after verifying their pictures and content is not stolen. If they have our view plastered on their site or try to cleverly use the name “Mountain Vista” in their content, take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of ethical companies in Beavers Bend not trying to ride “Piggyback.”

2. Paying Unnecessary Charges: Luxury cabins are an expensive endeavor and you usually get what you pay for when choosing a Beavers Bend cabin rental. However, be aware of a few “gotcha’s” such as firewood charges, additional cleaning fees (unless you leave a cabin messy) and bogus insurance fees. These fees are simply a way to gouge guests. I’m still amazed when traveling and a hotel tries to charge me $25=$50 for Wi-Fi access. If a cabin company is too cheap to leave a few complimentary pieces of wood for you to burn, find another one. If they tack-on bogus charges when reserving online, punt them and find another Broken Bow Lake cabin rental agency. Study a cabin management company’s Terms and Conditions…there are legal reasons why we all have them, but if they look ridiculous, there is usually a hidden fee on its way to your credit card.

3. Poor Planning Before Arrival: Make sure you know exactly what you will be renting. We have many public figures and private guests who have given us their endorsements through the years…it’s easy to check online. So… you have just arrived at your Beavers Bend getaway cabin rental and “Surprise,” there is a cabin so close next-door that you can hit it with a paper airplane! Wow, they did not mention this on their website! There are loud noises blasting from their stereo and lots of kids yelling… You left home for this?

Examples like this happen frequently to people visiting luxury cabins in Broken Bow. They call us when arriving at other cabins and want to know if we have a vacancy. Make sure you have clear pictures of the rental property perimeter before arriving. If you prefer some semblance of seclusion, find out exactly how close you will be to other cabins and how much free land you will have to explore by yourself.  Are you near a noisy road? Do you see professional videos of the property online that include the entire acreage?  Think about what they are not showing you on the website…and why they are not showing it to you…Then ask about the “gotcha’s.”

Be extremely cautious when you see homemade amateur cabin videos popping up on Beavers Bend websites. You know the ones…bad background music and shaky camera movement… they look like they were produced by a kid in his garage.

4. Not Looking For The Little Things: How involved in guest satisfaction is your Beavers Bend cabin company?  Does it feel like you are renting from a person who truly cares or just “some company” with a lot of cabins they need to rent?  Did you receive proper follow-up prior to arrival? Are they too busy to take your call? Pay attention to the “little things” when doing your research on luxury cabins in Broken Bow. “The top four mistakes Beavers Bend cabin visitors make” scenario does not have to include you.  You can prevent it. There are many great cabins and rental companies in our area…We like those who write their own content and publish their own cabin pictures…not ours!

Oklahoma Spring Break

3

Oklahoma Spring Break is quickly approaching. We’re booked during the Texas Spring Break week but still have availability for Oklahoma’s  during March 16-23. Make sure you have an Oklahoma fishing license and are aware of the proper places to ride ATV’s in the area. The fines are hefty, so make sure you know the proper protocol before visiting Beavers Bend.

Spend a few minutes and scroll our blog here…We’ve written about numerous topics and educated Oklahoma luxury cabin renters regarding things to consider before booking a getaway. If a feature isn’t on a website, consider it unavailable. Many times if a picture or amenity is on a website, it’s also not there!

For example, there’s another luxury cabin company in Beavers Bend using our 20-mile cabin view on their website for marketing purposes. They don’t have a view like ours! Do your homework. Broken Bow Lake cabins are expensive to own and operate, if done properly. Watch for cost cutting measures such as generic products and condiments in the cabin. Who wants to pay over $300/night for a cabin and use sandpaper for paper towels? Make sure you have a trusted company  to deal with and better yet, if you’re able talk directly with the owners, that’s ideal…Most owners will truly care.

6

Many times, a young cabin company employee taking your call won’t have their 30-50 cabin property details memorized and you can’t always depend on a website for truth and accuracy. Ask a few questions: “Do you have a great view?” “What’s your definition of seclusion?” “How close will we be to other cabins?” “How many acres is the property?” “Do I have to pay extra for firewood?” “Do you have add-on charges for bogus things like insurance and extra cleaning fees?”

We had a friendly couple reserve by phone a few days ago and were pleasantly surprised they were able to speak directly with Sherri and me, the owners. Unlike others who have 30-50 cabins and employ teenagers to take your calls, we have a vested interest in our visitors having an outstanding guest experience.

We own it! And the view!
