BROKEN BOW LAKE/BEAVERS BEND STATE PARK FLOODING

Massive rainfall in the Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake area will result in the  floodgates being opened to an all-time high of three-feet at 10:00 a.m. today, according to a KSLA television report.

Beavers Bend State Park cabins owned by the state of Oklahoma will be evacuated this morning prior to the floodgates being raised to the three-foot level. Highway 259A has been closed due to rising water.

Many luxury cabins are not currently affected in conditions like this if they are built on high ground. The rustic, state-owned cabins are impacted.

An official at Beavers Bend State Park told me no rescues have taken place thus far.
