Reviews of Mountain Vista Cabin

The latest Beavers Bend cabin reviews of Mountain Vista cabin are in and they’re fantastic!

Sherri and I are grateful to the legions of Beavers Bend fans that experienced our vacation home for the first time this summer. We had many repeat guests too.

Summer will be in our rearview mirror soon after the upcoming Labor Day Weekend. Our favorite seasons at Mountain are fall and winter…we love foliage and the fire pit!

To enjoy views like ours, you’ve gotta climb a little blacktop hill, but its well worth it. Our hill is easily accessible in a car, just give it a little gas and you’ll be fine.

We only have a handful of weekend dates available until Thanksgiving at Mountain Vista. Friday-Saturday dates are golden and in high demand.

A tip for first-time luxury cabin visitors to Beavers Bend State Park. When you rent from a management company, they’re dealing with 30-70 other cabin rentals during your stay. Do the math.

No need to be a rocket scientist to determine that you won’t receive much personalized attention. Mountain Vista is truly our vacation home and you deal directly with us, the owners.

Mountain Vista cabin features free firewood, s’mores kits and no add-on charges for hot tub, insurance and cleaning fees. There’s actually a hot tub charge in Beavers Bend a few have implemented…I don’t get it.

We have a hot tub and want you to use it…there’s no additional fee.

Download our app for a list of all the hot spots in Beavers Bend. Three wineries and a couple of breweries are now prevolent in the Kiamichi Mountains. There are plenty of activities for you to enjoy in Beavers Bend.

Cooler temps and the Talimena Drive are just around the corner for Broken Bow cabin visitors. Contact us at Mountain Vista to reconnect with nature in style…and no resort fees.

The Warner’s Return To Mountain Vista

The Warner's Return To Mountain Vista

The ArkLaTex’s Emmy Award winning KSLA television anchor Doug Warner and wife, Libby, returned to Mountain Vista for a little R&R recently.

The Warner’s have visited our vacation home numerous times through the years and we always enjoy having such quality people experience Mountain Vista.

Doug is very popular figure in the Shreveport viewing region and I’ve enjoyed seeing the transformation he’s brought to KSLA Channel 12. He’s taken it to an entirely new level with his leadership.

“Absolutely spoiled. I’m not sure we could ever “rough it’ camping after staying at Mountain Vista again. It’s an incredible getaway and relaxing to know that everything is taken care of…” Doug said.

Sherri and I are thrilled that Doug and Libby enjoy each trip to Mountain Vista!

You can enjoy Mountain Vista  in January and February at a discounted rate! Arrive Sunday through Tuesday and receive 20% off your rate!

Meet Our Beavers Bend Guests, The Borrego’s

IMG_8629

The “Meet Our Beavers Bend Guests” series continues. Scroll through the blog…we’ve had quite a group of great visitors through the years.

We’re fortunate to have a great following and many repeat guests at Mountain Vista in Beavers Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Omar Borrego visited our cabin again recently and like many of us, they’ve fallen in love with the Broken Bow Lake area.

The best part of having a luxury cabin is being able to share it with others. There’s nothing better than receiving a text from a guest upon arrival and it usually begins with “Wow, this place is awesome…!”

I’ve really enjoyed my interactions with the Borrego family over the past few months and we’re pleased they enjoyed their second trip to Mountain Vista. Omar shared a few thoughts about their stay…

“This was our second stay in five months at Mountain Vista. That should say a lot about our experience at this cabin. We left our first visit knowing in a heartbeat that we wanted to return soon. What impresses us the most about this cabin is the luxury feel of the cabin and uncompromising views it offers of the lush, green landscape.”

There are scores of luxury cabins in Beavers Bend. Very few have great 20-mile views and even less offer seclusion. The Borrego’s had an opportunity to compare us to the competition…

“We had a longer stay in Broken Bow this past visit. In our visit we passed other cabins which allowed us to size up Mountain Vista against other cabins. Frankly, judging by the setting of Mountain Vista being perched from on high…you just can’t beat that view. That’s what has us loyal to this cabin. We would highly recommend Mountain Vista. We have shared this retreat with our friends as accompanying guests. We look forward to sharing the cabin with many other loved ones in due time. Thank you to The Isbells’ for the accommodations. We can’t wait for our next stay.” Omar said.

Thanks to the Borrego’s for the great review! We look forward to their next visit to Mountain Vista.

Meet Our Beavers Bend Cabin Guests: David & Yenni Vance

photoOklahoma City has emerged as a hotbed for professional sports and entertainment during the past few years, but long before the NBA’s Thunder arrived, David Vance brought global publicity and tourism to Oklahoma by building the mecca of the “Sport of Kings,” Remington Park.

Without Vance, Oklahoma City wouldn’t be a “Big League” sports city and scores of casinos and off track betting parlors in the Sooner State owe him a tremendous amount of gratitude for their riches today. He made it all happen back in the 1980’s and took Oklahoma entertainment to an entirely new level. Do a little research and you’ll see the frenzy he created at Remington Park. The hit television show “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” came to OKC because he marketed to everyone from the “Average Joe” to billionaires flying to OKC on their private jets… all eagerly wanting see his first-class creation. Vance employed thousands and Oklahoma horse racing people were finally allowed to gallop in their own backyard. He and lovely wife Yenni are two of our favorite Mountain Vista cabin guests.

David Vance’s professional sports and marketing background is beyond impressive. He’s a legendary figure in horse racing and a respected global sports marketing expert. In addition to bringing horse racing to Oklahoma and overseeing racetracks across the country, Vance has served as president of the Thoroughbred Racing Association, member of the Board of Trustees for the New York Racing Association, Vice President of DeBartolo Racing and Chairman of the American Championship Racing Series on ABC Television. His stellar career also featured stops as General Manager of the Kentucky Colonels American Basketball Association team and AAA Oklahoma City baseball organization.

He’s been a great friend and mentor for many years. I was part of his media team at Remington Park and learned more from him than anyone in my career. “Mr. Vance” as we called him (not at his request) has always exemplified dignity, grace and class.  Here’s another tremendous video tribute to my old boss.

David and Yenni, Director of Digital Communications and Social Media for Global Gaming, were thrilled with Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake, Cedar Creek Golf Course and our Mountain Vista Cabin.

“We had been looking for a nice place to take a few days and relax, but we were overwhelmed with what we discovered at Beaver Bend. The drive from OKC was enjoyable, but we were stunned when we arrived and found an absolutely perfect escape from the daily grind. We found a beautiful log home in an incredible setting and a view to die for. I can’t begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our visit; from grilling steaks on an outdoor patio overlooking acres of trees to the refreshing hot tub and a glass of wine in the evenings. The amenities offered all of the comforts of home. We’ve been blessed to have traveled frequently over the years, but our stay at Beaver Bend ranks at the top of the list in terms of memorable getaways,” David said.

David Vance is a member of the Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame and has been a hero to many marketing executives in sports, media and beyond for decades. His enshrinement in the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame is long overdue.

David and Yenni…a great Mountain Vista “Daily Double!”
