There is a huge adrenaline rush seeing the bass pop out of the water while feeding on shad. It happens frequently during August and Bryce studies the lake like none other. He knows where to find the fish!

Great Fishing On Broken Bow Lake
Beavers Bend guests are enjoying great fishing on Broken Bow Lake.
My favorite guide, Bryce Archey, says bass and walleye have been hitting the lure feverishly. His upcoming focus will be on bass and says the fishing should be tremendous through the end of June. Many experts say fishing is the best since the 1970’s.
Bryce is highly sought after as a guide and booked until mid-June. He’s great with kids to pro anglers and always makes the outing fun.
I annually go out with Bryce during the dog days of August and we’ve never had a slow day of fishing. His experience and ability to adjust to water levels and temperatures has given him rock-star status with the rod and reel on Broken Bow Lake.
Bryce provides all the equipment and snacks to make your outing perfect. You only need an Oklahoma fishing license to be set for a tremendous angling adventure.
We have fish and stay packages available with Bryce at BeaversBendVacations.com.

A perfect day in Beavers Bend begins with a great cup of coffee and breakfast. Stop by Adam & Eve’s Coffee Shop across from the state park entrance. They have the best cup of joe in Broken Bow. I’ve written about this great place a few times and our Mountain Vista cabin guests always give it good reviews.
After breakfast, its time to burn a few calories and take a hike. There are scores of trails in the area, including the famed David Boren Hiking Trail. Your trail journey will be much safer and more pleasurable with a good pair of hiking boots. I wear Vasque and you can find them at most upper-end outdoor stores. Their soles are perfect for the different terrains in Beavers Bend and they perform great in wet conditions.
Bring your clubs and visit Cedar Creek Golf Course. This inexpensive gem features towering pines and beautiful views, including a stunning lake green.
No spring break trip to Beavers Bend is complete without “Riding the Duck!” The Broken Bow Lake Duck Tour is tremendous! This unique concept was unveiled last year and became a huge hit. Captain Kelly Persinger provides an informative and entertaining tour including a historical background of the Hochatown area.
Contact Bryce Archey, the premiere fishing guide on Broken Bow Lake. He has a few dates available during spring break. Bryce tells me white bass will be his focus in the near future. They will be running up river channels during the next couple of weeks. Bryce will even fillet your stringer after a day on the lake.
After an evening meal at the Food Network Champion chef’s Moon Tower Bar and Grill, don’t forget to spend time around the cabin fire pit. Many luxury cabin guests have never built a fire before arriving in Beavers Bend. Do a little research and you’ll have a nice blaze going in no time.

Fishing Is Great On Broken Bow Lake
Broken Bow Lake’s top fishing guide, Bryce Archey, reports fishing is terrific on Broken Bow Lake.
Bryce and his fishing buddy won a tournament last weekend on the lake and these pictures certainly prove things are back to normal. They landed 19 lbs. for the day, with the largest bass weighing 5.67 lbs.
“The lake level is normal now and all ramps are open. Beavers Bend could be opening in the next 5-10 days,” Bryce said.
Make sure to contact Bryce for an outing this spring on Broken Bow Lake. He provides a tremendously enjoyable day and this picture certainly indicates that’s no tall fishing tale!

Broken Bow Lake Fishing Update
A boat ramp is open on Broken Bow Lake after recent flooding. No one is better qualified to give a fishing update than my pal, Bryce Archey of BrokenBowLakeGuide.com.
The Carson Creek boat ramp is open after recent flooding and from the pic of Bryce’s catch this week, fishing is very good on Broken Bow Lake. Bryce is the premiere guide on Broken Bow Lake, and as always, knows the scoop…
“The North ramp is open on Carson Creek. The lake level is 614.95 and normal pool is 599.50, so we have a way to go. The lake level is dropping almost one-foot-per-day due to the releasing of 7,850 cubit feet per-second (from the dam). Two other ramps should be open by end of the week. The lake should return to normal pool elevation in about 12-14 days, barring no more rain.”
Spawning season is approaching on Broken Bow Lake and there is no better guide to learn and laugh with than Bryce. He has years of experience after floods on Broken Bow Lake.
“Fishing can be really productive while the lake is extremely high. You can catch a variety of fish under flooded conditions, even during the winter months of January and February. The high water has fish up, moving around and looking for food to forage on. This makes your chances better than normal for catching quality fish,” Bryce reports.
If you want a tremendous outing on Broken Bow Lake, Bryce is a great choice for novice or professional anglers. Contact him at 870-582-4561. He’s our favorite guide on Broken Bow Lake!

Broken Bow Lake Fishing Guide
Searching for a Broken Bow Lake fishing guide? They are highly sought after near Beavers Bend State Park. I recently had the great experience of spending several hours on the lake with Bryce Archey of BrokenBowLakeGuide.com. I now understand why he has been lauded as the best in Southeastern Oklahoma for many years.
Bryce, a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, is a charismatic bass fishing expert. As we hit the lake in his decked out boat, the learning, laughter and good times began immediately. We scorched across Broken Bow Lake and hit the first fishing spot around 7:00 a.m. Bryce knew exactly where the bass would be schooling and the lures and presentation to use in order to get them to visit the friendly confines of his livewell tank.
My buddy along for the trip landed a nice bass on his first cast! Bryce knows Broken Bow Lake like the back of his hand and provided excellent education regarding how wind, weather and lake levels impact having a successful venture on the water.
“I get tremendous satisfaction from teaching people how to catch fish on Broken Bow Lake,” Bryce said. He has fished Southeastern Oklahoma his entire life and considers Broken Bow Lake to be the top lake for anglers in our area.
Bryce paid his dues along the way in his quest to become the premier fishing guide in the Beavers Bend State Park area. “I used to fish nearly all night, park the boat in a cove and catch a few hours sleep, then hit the lake again at daybreak,” he recalled.
When you visit Beavers Bend State Park and the Broken Bow Lake area, hire an expert if you truly want to catch fish, have lots of laughs, and learn about bass fishing. I grew up on Broken Bow Lake but have not had the opportunity to bass fish in several years. One outing with him and I was hooked…So were several nice fish! We had such a tremendous experience that we booked him for second outing.
We caught over 30 and kept 17 nice bass. Bryce will fillet the fish for you at the end of the outing and trust me, lunch was amazing! Contact Bryce Archey at 870-582-4561. He has gift certificates available and accepts credit cards. He also provides fishing equipment.
If you have always thought about hiring a Broken Bow Lake fishing guide, I highly recommend Bryce Archey. His kindness and professionalism are top notch and I promise you it will be fun!
He is in high demand and everyone has spoken highly of him for years…except the fish in Broken Bow Lake!
