Lost Dogs In Beavers Bend State Park
Scores of lost dogs have been reported by tourists visiting the Broken Bow Lake area recently. There’s little excuse for it.
Perhaps Fido is fine at home and you don’t worry about him running away. Take precautions in Beavers Bend. They may see a squirrel and say “Time For Me To Fly” or be freaked out by the sounds of nature. Staying at a cabin is a new experience for them.
Don’t trust Fido!

- Always keep your dog leashed while outside, including on the cabin deck in Beavers Bend
- Always have a GPS collar on your dog. There are several, make sure it’s a high-end model that will track them anywhere.
Fortunately, the power of social media helped find a lost dog recently in Broken Bow. The search was well over a week.
Whether you have a city, country or show dog, be a responsible owner. Don’t let them out of your site or off the leash while they’re in Beavers Bend.
