Many Broken Bow Lake area visitors love getting in a workout while in town. Unit now, there hasn’t been an upscale gym available. I’ve worked out in spectacular gyms throughout the country and this ranks up there with the best.

Ben has a long history of successfully transforming clients fitness levels. He can do the same for you and provide fresh ideas to enhance your workouts. If you want healthy meals delivered to your cabin, Ben and his staff offer a plethora of options.

BBQ, Bass Fishing and Beavers Bend

BBQ, Bass Fishing and Beavers Bend

SpannMan’s BBQ in Antlers, OK has developed a huge following from our OKC guests traveling to Mountain Vista. We enjoyed his amazing cuisine last night during a picturesque evening in Beavers Bend.

SpannMan, a champion BBQ pit master, continues to create amazing food. We hosted a dinner event at Mountain Vista and our guests loved his world-class BBQ!

We’ll be fishing with pal Bryce Archey, this weekend. His BrokenBowLakeGuide.com service is the premier guide service on the lake. Hopefully we’ll have lots of pics to post in the next few days.

Bring On The Summer

Beavers Bend Firewood Fees

Beavers Bend Firewood Fees

Beavers Bend firewood fees are becoming a source of frustration to luxury cabin visitors.

We never charge guests a fee for firewood but most luxury cabins will gouge you with this add-on bill. Beware of the old “We provide you a starter supply of firewood” trick.

We’ve talked with guests that have stayed at numerous cabins in Beavers Bend and the “starter supply” was only a few sticks. Unless you’re trained in the outdoors like Daniel Boone, it won’t be enough wood for an enjoyable fire.

Beavers Bend Firewood Fees

The per piece price of wood for an additional supply is usually outrageous from cabin management companies. You may want to consider bringing your own or purchasing wood from an area store.

Firewood is very inexpensive for us to purchase in Beavers Bend. It’s also plentiful in our area. We see no need to slam our guests’ pocketbooks with this needless charge.

Another bogus bill you may incur while staying in Beavers Bend is a “hot tub fee.” This is a relatively new add-on fee that has emerged in the luxury cabin market.

Our staff cleans and sanitizes the hot tub at Mountain Vista between after every guest departs. Unlike many, we see no reason to charge a greedy hot tub fee.

There are many other add-on bills to consider before agreeing to stay in a Broken Bow Lake area luxury cabin: Insurance, cleaning, resort and incidental fees have become popular charges in Beavers Bend State Park.

Don’t pay them…

We never charge add-fees at Mountain Vista. Make sure to do your homework and choose a luxury cabin that’s right for your group.

There are many reputable cabin companies in the area and others that pop your pocketbook with these needles charges.

We only have two available fall foliage season dates available. November 6-9 and 13-17.  The peak foliage will be amazing as always in the next few weeks. Contact us at Mountain Vista to reserve your stay.

Remember, you’ll have no Beavers Bend firewood fees with us!

Best Time To Visit Beavers Bend Cabins

photoWe’re constantly asked “What’s the best time of year to visit cabins in Broken Bow and Beavers Bend?” My response is usually “Anytime!” Here’s why…

For those able to take a last minute trip, there are great deals available in January and February at scores of McCurtain County getaways. The weather can be perfect during the winter. Sherri and I spent hours exploring new spots on Mountain Fork River a few days ago. The temperature was in the 60’s and we had an amazing sun-drenched day…in January!

Retired couples and those with no children who can break away quickly, here’s a tip…Check the weather and take a three hour drive from Dallas to Broken Bow, OK.  There are many great last minute deals available and It’ll be well worth it.

Look for “Specials” in January and February…We’re offering discounted rates during the winter and our fabulous “S’mores Kit’s”. Not just a bag of generic marshmallows and a stick…There are plenty of cabins that’ll give you this. We take s’mores to an entirely new level!

ATV Riding Near Beavers Bend Cabins

Many of our guests enjoy the ATV trails around cabins in Broken Bow but there’s a few things you need to know before riding in the Kiamichi Mountains.

Review this map before bringing your ATV to Broken Bow Lake cabins. The Beavers Bend area is a popular creative escape for Dallas and Oklahoma tourists but you don’t want to be nailed with a heavy fine for riding in illegal areas.

Most importantly, don’t drink on your ATV in Beavers Bend. We’ve experienced several fatalities in the Broken Bow area this year. Enjoy your Beavers Bend getaway but be careful!

20% off at Mountain Cabin Vista until October 31st! Call us at Beavers Bend Vacations to reserve! We feature private decks and acres of seclusion. It’s deer season in Oklahoma, the deer chili meal is all up to you!
